We are clearing Cabo Trafalgar.

Everything is OK on the boat, and we are close to our destination — Barbate. The reason to stop in Barbate is very simple — to rest, to re-assess the situation:
— what time is good to reach Gibraltar, regarding wind, tide, etc.
— which marina ( and possibly anchorage ) to reach,
— latest weather forecast…

We are really close to destination of the leg… and it would be completely cool…. But the radio woke up a few minutes ago, telling that there are 3 inflatable boats are drifting through the Gibraltar straits and asked all vessels, especially close to the shore, to watch carefully for possible development…

Besides that, everything is really good. The passage was ’simple’. Though I’ve been complaining about the weather at the beginning, after the first hour of motoring the wind finally appeared, and we were sailing most of the way, till about 0800 (UTC) this morning… At that point — the wind became extremely light, veered, and we have no choice but to motor…. Well… we do have a choice to drift…. But where ?!

So, we are really motor sailing now, the wind is picking up again, and we should be in Barbate soon.

Talk to you later,
M.
