1829 nm behind,  computer is talking about 358 nm  to go... ( Its lies are becoming less and less sarcastic and teasing,  with more and more 'grain of truth' inside...  Which makes them a better lies, anyway ;-)).

It is a very peacefull morning here... The 'child'  -- continue my analogy from the previous e-mail  --  is happily 'sleeping',,,  the autopilot  correcting  the course from time to time,  simulating her  ' peaceful, deep breathing... '
( Actually,  I have to drop that analogy... I knew too well what is happening when the child(s) grows up, learn to speek., opens their mouth for real..  No, not again... Ok, back to sailing... ;-) ).

So, we are doing course 051T,   gaining N latitudes  as recommended,  in hope to get some more wind  as progressing...  We are nearly on  a dead run,   with the  full main on starboard side,  gennaker and pole ( thanks God, not Michael and pole, as was attempted yesterday... ) on the  port side...   about 6+ kts speed...

The VMG   ( velocity made good ) is  starting to show the deviation from the actuall speed, getting a bit lower...  Well, sailing --- is all about a strategy and tactiks, not destinations and ETA(s  ( well said, ah?) ... I hope our tactical move to gain the North before going to destination on a beam reach would keep its ' the most recent tactic move on the leg'  title...   Still have to define the destination though... but inclining to the Flores, at this moment...

So, VMG is getting  tiny bit less and less then the actuall speed... Indicating that we are closer and closer to somewhere...
Coffee high,   spirit strong... no, oposite... Morale  high,  coffee strong...
The captain and the crew are still talking to each other... ( Even in solo crossing,  sometimes it is not easy after 2 weeks... )

Have a great day,
M.
