On yesterday's blog, we said how we'd be leaving the dock this morning for the start of the ARC. We lied.

As of 9am this morning, ARC race control announced that our division's start will be delayed by at least 18hrs due to the current extreme weather conditions that were experiencing here in Gran Canaria. So, it's time to indulge in some more châteaubriand and quaff a few large G&Ts in readiness for (hopefully) tomorrow's departure.

Even though we haven't put to sea yet, old character traits are already surfacing. Mike has already broken something, Ben is fixing everything, Minkey fixated by finding the most efficient method of keeping carrots fresh and Jags is already moaning about the mess on board!

Right, it's time to look back through our weather tactics now we're delayed.
