Oh
dear. 3 weeks since our last blog –
what slackers!
Well,
we have just returned from a 2-week trip home to merry old England, mainly to
visit Parents but also so that Chris could maximise on the Birthday Present
potential (was 4th March lest any of us forget), and collect his new
Apple laptop computer. It was jolly
nice to go and see everybody, but cold enough to remind us why we are
here…

Transported for the special occasion: Chris's Birthday
party. We

Not quite
sure why we are all wearing
black
Marina. X marks the spot!
except
for the birthday boy..?
Upon
our return to the sunny Caribbean, we met up with two of my oldest friends:
Jacqui and Matt, who had been patiently waiting for us here in Antigua to go sailing. Unfortunately, as we were delayed in the
UK by a week longer than planned, we
didn’t get to go sailing. We came
back to not much wind, but the tail end of a weather system from the middle of
the Atlantic which was causing 5m high waves in the water around here: not a
prospect that any of us relished going out in. So we opted for hangin’ out by the pool,
and playing cards, and eating too much.

Matt and Jacqui making the most of their
trip I can't tell you the real name of our
card game, as I have given up swearing
by messing around in the dingy. They
are for lent, but it is
also called Palace. By popular vote, Jacqui ended up being
actually cleaning the algae off the water
line, the 'Palace'.
And Chris is instructing.
And
so here we sit, waiting to go again.
It’s Easter Sunday and there’s not much going on. On Tuesday we are off to Montserrat, so for the time being we are getting bits and
pieces finished around the place, and soaking up the sun before the final push
North.
