Title: Day 9 at Sea

03:12 20:28.315N 29:52.631W

We'll we've spent the morning looking at weather to make best way to St Lucia. Two days ago we brought in the poled out head sail and was on a beam reach south to miss a depression that would be a head of us in a couple of days. We have now turned north west to miss strong winds south of us (well they will be there in 2 days). This we hope should allow us a good course into St Lucia.

For crew moral we have allowed gambling on board and betting sweep is taking place for day of arrival, it looks like this:

Kevin 17 days 02:00 Thursday 20th
Barbara 14 days 04:00 Monday 17th
Chris 15 days 23:00 Tuesday 18th

The prise has not been set todate, we'll see who will put their money where their mouth is nearer the time.

We have now got into a routine on board. Changing shifts each day, taking turns cooking and cleaning. So our attention has been brought round to other things by Barbara. Being of Polish descent they celebrate 'names day' rather than their birthdays (I will remind her in January!). She didn't tell me until a few hours ago that her names day is tomorrow.... So Kevin and I will have to entertain her by making cakes and toughly spoiling her tomorrow.

If there are any Polish readers please send the English version of 'Happy Names Day' song, to make her feel quite at home.

Signing off for now and fingers crossed our weather perditions are right.
