We left Eastbourne Wednesday morning when the gale had passed. We had strong W headwinds and were beating along the English southcoast. Full gear on in the cold wind. In the early evening we made a long tack out in the Channel and crossed the shipping corridor. The wind died and we motored through the night towards the Channel Islands. Strong currents. We made 11,2 knots with and 3,5 knots against the current.
A beautiful morning ! Sunny and new wind from the east. Spinnaker up ! Just now we are nicely sailing downwind in shorts and T-shirt, doing 8,5 knots. We Passed Guernsey a few hours ago.
A nice smell from the galley. Jonas and Carl have just finished a pasta sauce which promises to be "benissimo".
Next stop most likely Camaret-sur-mere close to Brest where we hope to be tomorrow morning.
