Old ships use old equipment and to find those parts take apparently a lot of time.
Today I saw the message passing, between 5 a 7 days before the parts could be delivered on board.
This would say earlierst departure next Monday 15th of August 2016, or earliest arrival 1st of September 2016.
A delivery is always special, you can't plan in advance what will be the result.
We didn't sail 1 hour and we already have the first problems. After investigation of the equipment , the next problem could occure in a short notice during sailing.
At least we have all the charts of ports of refuge , like for instance Willemstad, Curacao . Don't look to bad forward.
If we arrive the first , it will not before 5th of september 2016 at home. Back a change of familial planning.
Picking up the small boy in Ponta Delgada could be not occure, so an alternative plan needs to be figured out.
Since I'm delivery ships I can't plan in the near future. It became a part of my life .
We live from day to day and enjoy the time spending with the ones we love.
