Like usual I give a day of relax on sundays , we are 13 days underway , 11 days on board and everybody is looking to move to the destination.
Sunday's are usual strange days, why on those days we feel that we are far away from the persons we like.
The otherdays aren't like sundays, on sundays we are always thinking at home.
Since the beginning of my career as seaman. It's the day that we listen to romantic or nostalgic songs.
For me it's a day that I think at my small family, my dogs. Looking to see them back very fast.
At the end of the day, we know we have to work hard to give them a good future. That's why we are away.
Even that as it looks now , the future isn't a long term thinking. We are living from day to day, hoping to become happy .
For me on those days I listen to Jacques Brell, Herman van Veen, Van Dijk, Stan van Samang, ...
Today a quite day, no service engineers on board. Hopefully tomorrow they can arrange the generators.
The airconditioning is broken, but luckely the one on the bridge is working.
Hopefully leaving tomorrow, ...
The day will at least start with a meeting with the crew. For years I didn't need to close the stores in the night and now it appears lot of soft drinks and chocolate dissappear.
Otherways, complaining crew about the jobs to perform, strange that Ukrainian seamen have another view of working.
They try but than they are at the wrong adress. From tomorrow they can start to work with paint work and greasing work.
Lot of things to arrange.
