So, we are off!

We left the marina around 08:45, it is a beautiful day here with clear skies and the temp at 20deg.

Half way across the harbour we crossed a large school of small dolphins. A group of them decided to join us for 5-10minutes, playing in front of the bow before getting bored and rejoining the rest of the pod.

Not sure you can see them in this photo

Today is a bit trickier as we run alongside the very busy shipping lane thru the Gibraltar straights before "turning left" to cross it. Like everything in life it's all about the timing, but, it's daylight, seas are calm and so will not be a problem.

Hopefully you can read the picture of the chart for today.., we hope to get to waypoint number 6 (120miles) by this time tomorrow.

We are taking advantage of the 3G signal here to send lots of photos.

Kevin went to (no prize for guessing) to the chandlery store, Andy (Tivenan) and Jane went to Morrisons (a grocery store for our non UK friends) while Michael continued on to the marina with all 9 pieces of luggage. In addition to the regular boaty stuff, Kevin was also charged with obtaining a replacement for Kelsey who was our personal bread maker by purchasing a- you guessed it- bread maker! Jane and Andy managed to fill two and one half shopping carts full of food. They had so much food that the first taxi was not big enough to take them. Michael managed to get on the boat, opened up the windows, transferred the bags and "waited"for the others to arrive. (suspiciously his tan had improved a lot today). Kevin arrived back first, just in time to wash the boat with Michael- apparently there had been a dust storm in the past two weeks.
