Oof!

Well the cunning plan in the hunt for wind certainly worked! We are now beating into a F6-7 with 4m sells 1.5m waves a reefed main and staysail only. Still making 9-10 knots but its really tough on the poor crew

Still, spirits are high, and the crew are discovering a new found affinity with dry cereal for snacks. It is pretty rough to be fair and very very hot inside the boat. I am currently sat here in just shorts with the sweat pouring if me. This complicates sleeping too and I think everyone is quite tired.

Also, the hatch to my head blew open at 02:30 in the morning and a large measure of wet arrived in my cabin. That took a while to mop up and now everything I own is salty. But hey ho, its all good really.

Making great ground towards St Lucia and caught loads of fish..... Dont get too excited, theyre flying fish and they just keep leaping onto the boat, banging their heads and dying on the deck. One banged his head so hard his little eye fell out! Poor little blighter. As for our fishing rod, its still in there but nothing can catch the lure at this speed, except maybe a marlin....and that would be bad as he would just snap our gear in .

Anyway, just a short one today as it is properly minging out here today and I've heard a few murmurings about heading back down south to calmer waters... No Fear!!!! We came 2 days out of our way for this wind and we're gonna attack it and milk it for all its worth. I think we have 2.5 days left of this before MAYBE turning south to the non existent trades.

We'll see!

Personal:

Mark says hi to his girls xxxxx

Ok, thats me making a dash for the deck before I melt into a puddle of sweat.

Love to all from all
