24 hours run: 129 miles.  Distance to Mindelo at noon today: 215 miles so our ETA is Thursday morning.

A faster day since dawn this morning when the trade wind finally filled in from the east sending Kelpie cracking along at 6 1/2 knots.  Yesterday afternoon and overnight there was little useable wind so Yanni the Yanmar did the heavy lifting.  However, every cloud has a silver lining - we made enough water to permit everyone a shower.  What a difference that makes!

The other major event was Chris' second dorado yesterday afternoon - a whopping 5 kg fish that got the same treatment (baked in the oven with  rosemary) as its predecessor  - delicious!

We are starting to see flying fish in some numbers and continue to see marine mammals of various types.  We have instigated a flying fish patrol every morning to pick them up off the deck before they start to go smelly in the now warm tropical sun.

Will upload some photos when we get back to the world of wifi.
