We have got into a rhythm of getting up early (0545 hrs) and lifting the anchor before first light in order to make the 60 or so miles we need to make each day.  Much stumbling around with red head torches is involved and dealing with a very muddy anchor chain and anchor is no fun in the dark, but tea and biscuits usually restores morale.  We had another fast and hectic sail to Shelburne Bay with the crew enjoying hand steering for 58 miles.  We chose Shelburne Bay as opposed to the more popular Margaret Bay because it was 8 miles further on and would reduce the distance we needed to make the following day.  Thus we only had 5 other yachts from our fleet with us in a very shallow but well protected anchorage.  Two of the yachts grounded while feeling their way in to anchor and kindly passed on some guidance for the rest of us.  Another peaceful night in company with Carrie (NZ), Velella (Aus), Smart Choice (Aus), Yantara (Aus)and Fruits de Mer (Ne).
