We are on our way from Tonga to Fiji which should take around three nights.  The winds are light at the moment so we are making slow progress.  Moana Roa and Sud Oest are leaving later today to make the same passage but they will be zipping past us at speed before very long.

We have our new lures, made by Travis from Moana Roa, and one is now firmly tied to a length of venetian blind cord slung from a hand line at the back of the boat.  So goodbye to fancy fishing rods, reels, lines and lures, we are now using the bomb proof, fish proof rig of champions.

We were sad to leave Tonga because many of our sailing friends had congregated there and some are heading in different directions now. This is the first point where people split depending on whether they are going to New Zealand or Australia so we are not sure when we will see them again.
