8am arrival just outside the pass, perfect timing, and to complete the excitement we arrive along with a squall and torrential rain.  The gap to the right of the thin strip of land and palm trees that is our first glimpse of an island paradise.  Malua can just about be seen to the left of Mikes forehead.

We line up behind Malua (speck in the grey middle right) and set off……

Some interesting wave patterns and a strong current but nothing too unnerving……
