Hi,
Firstly, many thanks to all family and friends who came to Troon to see us off and for their help in our final preparations. The first gold star must go to Bill & Gill who got up at some unearthly hour to cast us off and wave goodbye from the dock. Thanks to you all and we really enjoyed the farewell evening with Kasuje dressed in her best frock.(If you hadn,t realised that when I talk of we its Kasuje and me.We are still in our courting period)

Nike Lea and Admiral North joined us for the passage south down the Irish sea to Falmouth

Mike and The Admiral                    The Admiral on watch.

A pleasant cruise mostly day sailing with stopovers at Bangor, Ardglass, Dun Laoghaire and Falmouth. The highlight was spotting,by eagle eye Mike, of a shoal of basking sharks off the tip of Cornwall, huge fish with gaping wide mouths and filter feeding, a first for me and a real privilege to see them.

We are currently moored up behind the National Maritime Museum in Falmouth awaiting the arrival of Bruce and Angela before the passage south across Biscay to Porto.
Kind Regards
Stephen
