Thursday 9^th May

We continued to motor sail all through Thursday and by lunch time there was enough wind to raise the main sail with one reef.  By early evening we could sail without the engine!

We put a further reef in for overnight in case of any squalls but by 11pm we had to put the engine on again.  We were motor sailing close hauled in a very lumpy sea which made for a very uncomfortable ride and not much sleep for any of us.

But, we’re almost there! Less than 100 miles to go at midnight!
