Happy Birthday granddaughter Eryn – one year old today!

The sea state is much improved, the waves are down, the wind has eased slightly and veered a bit so we are having a much more comfortable sail, and everyone is managing to sleep better.

The highlight of the day is our first fish.  We have put the line in several times but only caught Sargasso weed, so Ken, our fishing expert, is now using a spoon (a fishing term I believe) instead of plastic squid lures and we have been successful.  About midday we hooked a 5kilo mahi- mahi/dorado.  So for lunch we had fresh raw fish then had mahi-mahi, mashed potato and peas for dinner. Excellent! And there is enough left for lunch tomorrow...
