We are still in the Rio Chagres and all day we hear the roar of the howler
monkeys. These guys are about 3ft long and put the African Lion roars to
shame, it really is quite amusing. Each morning and early evening we go for
a walk through the forest lathered in Bug Off looking at all the jungle
animals, we have seen many variety of bugs and birds, a raccoon a few
Toucans and plenty Howlers in the canopy. We have dingied up a few small
rivers looking for Crocs but not seen any yet.
The river is calm and magical that we have decided to spend a few more days
up here before going back to the "Colon" to get the parts we need and do a
few boat projects.
This will delay our Pacific transit for a few days as we need to provision
in Panama City and see some of the sights. So will probably only get to
Galapagos the 2nd week of May
