Hi all
Thanks for all the xmass messages its really great to hear from you.
People are very strange and although they like reading the blog they
keep sending messages saying what is it really like out here apart
from the sun good sailing and us enjoying the fruits of our labour and
our successes. I (Tim that is) also get frustrated by people saying
"come back we miss you surely you have had enough fun!"
So I'm going to try give you a little reality or actually more the
dirty stuff that happens in all our lives. Like for instance "my
husband does not want sex with me but I found a stash of porno mags in
his drawer!" Or perhaps my wife has become incontinent and wets the
bed every night. Or maybe you just interested in petty fights and
disagreements?
So here goes:
Anchorages can sometimes be rollly and rough
Squalls come through and wet everything
The locals can get in your face with trying to sell you stuff
Going to buy food is a hassle sometimes as we don't have a car and
they don't have what we want
Its really hot and muggy at times and we need a respite from the heat.
Was that good enough...no I doubt it so let me go a little deeper!
Vic and I argue sometimes, mostly petty but sometimes we blow up at
each other too
This morning I woke up and wanted some loving, Vicki was too hot so my
nose was out of joint
There days I don't wash dishes and days Vic can't remember what the
line is called for hoisting the main.
Sometimes we wake up and don't instantly break out with the song "oh
what a beautiful morning" Athough they few and far between.
Having the kids 24/7 with questions can be trying, the favourite "what
are we going to do today" Can I watch a movie or I'm bored. Land
lubbers never hear this I guess?
They spill and knock things over, and in a small space is frustrating
Almost forgot after swimming, they sometimes have half the beach in
their pants and we get sand on board and god forbid they may even drop
wet clothes on the floor and we have to pick them up
I'm sure there must be more horrible things in our lives that I have
forgotten, but send me a private email and I will try dredge them up.
My email is lifeisabitch {CHANGE TO AT} nothingsgoodenough {DOT} com
So future plans:
Vic, Cal, Jess and Tim are out enjoying the fruits of our labour, it
is open ended, we don't know how long we will be sailing, we doubt
after sailing that we will settle back in the UK although we may do.
We miss all our friends and family and hope you will visit us either
on the boat or when we settle in outer mongolia or if we up the road
in Wraysbury. (Please don't add undue emotional pressure on us by
asking when next we can zip up the road for a cup of tea)
Thanks for reading this and please (you know who you are) read the
messages between the lines
Hope you all have a great festive period. Remeber the highest % of
divorces happen over this season so there should be tons of material
for interesting chat in the new year.
All our love
Out here and enjoying life
The Schofields
