A young booby perched itself on our bow and as the sun was setting, the bird made its way to the side on the guard rails all the way to the cockpit, where it stayed the night for a good rest. It left this morning and we are glad for a good downpour this afternoon washing all the booby poo away. Kahia had a good rinse and we are enjoying a break of the heat and sun. The wind from the Southerly quarters has been to our advantage enabling us to keep sailing North-eastwards against the 2 meter waves covering 95 miles on this second day at sea. Since the rain squall the wind dropped and we are now motor sailing again at the gentle speed of 4.5 knots. All is well aboard.
