Some wind did come up last night and it was a pleasure to sail at 5 to 6 knots again in an easy breeze and sea.
About 3 am the wind dropped which coincided with a our change over watch system. Just as we were putting the running back stay away, Catherine ducked down to avoid being hit by the block and in doing so hit her eye straight into a winch handle. What a shock for both of us. Accidents so easily happen when tired. We can gladly announce that her eye is fine.  Fortunately it was Paul’s watch and with repeated ice packs and check on the patient it was a relief to see at day break that the hit was just under the eyebrow in the hollow and with the ice and ibuprofen the area did not swell up. An easy watch system today to get over the headache and pain made comfortable by sailing peacefully at 4 knots in a flat sea.
The day was busy keeping an eye on many game fishing boats zig-zagging around us on our course along the Coast of Costa Rica.
85 miles to the border of Panama and about 120 miles to our landfall and check in.
