Sailing upwind, 3 reefs in the main sail, 2 reefs in the headsail and full staysail, we are beating to windward, making it a bumpy ride, not quite what we had in mind. Looking forward to the easterly air flow establishing itself hopefully soon, we are moving at 5 knots plus with 20 knots of wind.

Our SSB “Aloha Net”on 8173KHz at 1600 Hawaiian time is working very well and 7 other yachts are out here with us, two more leaving today, so we look forward to checking in to see how everybody is doing.

All good on Kahia, just getting used to the lively sail.
