Instead of sailing North to Huahine, one of our favourite islands, we had to return to Papeete to haul out the generator and do some major work on it. The ball bearing had to be replaced and the casing renovated with a new metal sheet.  A lot of cycling around town and with some support from Marco and Morgan, the mechanics, Paul managed to get the generator working again.

We enjoyed the new marina and stocking up at the Supermarkets and Sunday market (open from 4am to 9am!). We had time to enjoy drinks and many stories with several other yachts at the marina.
