Last night was so peaceful, no squalls and no waterproofs needed. We could see Tern's light behind us and creeping off slightly Southward. This afternoon we have 290 miles to go and we are still averaging 130 miles a day which means we could be in Bridgetown late Sunday. Bridgetown is our nearest port on Barbados and it also has the main anchorage. We have now heard that the clearing in at Bridgetown has been no problem so things must have improved since our guides were written, there could though be a long delay if a cruise ship has just come in.
For the first time in 12 days we have put the main sail up although we are not making such a good course but the great advantage is that we are not rolling and its peaceful down below. As long as we arrive in daylight that is fine.
Apparently we have missed Barbados Independence Day and the big party that went with that so we'll just have to have our own arrival party.
