Hi everybody,

So we made it to the Isles of Scilly! We left Brest yesterday afternoon and made our way to the Chenal du Four. This is a very strong current of water but luckily we got the tide table right and it sucked us in and spat us back out again without a hitch! The first photo is the first buoy marking the channel. Behind is a lighthouse and a very old ruined abbey.

We turned left to go west and went past some craggy islands. One is called Ouessant, which is supposed to be in the shape of a wolf's jaws. It was hard to see from where we were though.

Then by the evening we were out in the shipping lanes in the English channel, or the Sleeve as the French call it. The sleeve! We like that. It was quite busy but all the ships had awake captains and everybody moved for everybody. Except for the sun fish, that is! He had the sea to himself and we had to make a quick stop to admire him.

Also, dolphins everywhere but impossible to photograph! Unlike the flappy sun fish, they are silver bullets, quick hellos and goodbyes.

Lucia :)
