Orcas and scallops

Hi Everybody, 

As you can see in the first photo I have my head inside an orca’s mouth! I wouldn’t recommend this with a real orca otherwise I’d probably be inside the orca, now digesting. Anyway, above the skull is where their melon would be, the part that makes them send out waves of sound and hear underwater. If these were real orcas they would have heard Delphine in the shop for an hour trying to choose between a million toys. Eventually she settled on this little polar bear. Little did we know that Snowflake was going to play such an important part in our day. 

Oceanopolis is split into three parts: Temperate, Polar and Tropic. We went to the temperate part first. In a way it’s kind of the most boring part because that’s what we have at home. So we thought we’d get it out of the way. We didn’t know though we’d meet a smiling octopus and chattering scallops!
