Last Friday, we went back to Soper’s Hole on the west end of Tortola. After having a somewhat average experience here the first time round, the idea was just to stop for an hour to get some dinghy fuel. We took a buoy and the Cap went into work mode. Time sped up and Quest ended up watching the sunset here. Well, it turns out that Soper’s Hole might be full of unsmiling holidaymakers and cats for Fin to go crazy over but it makes up for it with sunsets.

On Saturday morning, we rounded the north corner to Jost Van Dyke. Here, at the east end of Jost we met our mermaid friends again… Hi MickBeth! Since we originally met them hiding from hurricanes in Grenada and again at Christmas in Antigua, this is the best part of cruising. Seeing friends again is the saltiest breath of fresh air. Plus is it just me or do these two Caps in the beach lips chair have certain things in common?? Ok, one might be trimmer and the other with a little more hair :) but from their Body Glove reef shoes to their rashy vests, technical monohull boat chat and harems of women onboard, could these two have met their cruising mirror? Lucky boys.

More to come..

Love from Quest and her crew xx
