Hi everybody,

How are you? Delphine wants to know if it's rainy in Wales? It's sunny here, she says, but it rains a surprising amount too, mostly at night time where you have to wake up like a zombie and quickly close all the windows because it's pouring down! You dream you're in a shower and then realise your feet are getting soaked!

The vet came eventually yesterday, though English Harbour is a perfectly pleasant place to wait all day. When the vet did arrive (apparently he was at the airport checking in a cavalier King Charles/poodle/bisshon mix, also known as a Capoosshin!) the immigration lady came out and dressed him down in front of the customs building. 'Why you so late, Edward?' she shouted, 'These nice people have been waiting for you all day!' Right then, we fell in love with this place. Fin is causing quite a stir here too, we had her groomed in Guadeloupe on the last day and we must admit, from being dreadlocked and shaggy she does look very French chic now. A man on crutches with one leg came up to Lulu on the way home and said in a very calm voice, 'Oh thank you miss, you found my dog.' Luckily Delphine was there. He went off laughing after seeing the look on Delphine's face, though we think he was a little scared too :)

So to pass the time yesterday, we hung out in the museum and stared at Horatio Nelson memorabilia from when he was stationed here (I should provide a date but I'm failing badly) and read about life when English Harbour was a naval barracks. The funny thing is when we got back to Quest and night fell, all the super yachts lit up, their masts glowing with red and white like a futuristic city. It seems that Nelson's fleet are still here in the 21st century version!

Captain's excited; he's cruising round the chandleries today..

Love from Quest and her crew xx
