Tuesday 17^th July, 2018.

Thessaloniki

After a fabulous sail the day before we were motoring up to Thessaloniki.  We covered 37 miles with hardly any wind.  We called ahead and the small marina boat was out ready for us to show us to our berth.  He also helps with the two mooring lines for the bow.

We were just getting ourselves sorted when the boat next to us introduced themselves and asked us to their house for fish dinner.  Caroline was born in Wales moved to Australia as a child came back as an older child for one year and then the family moved back to Australia.  She came to Greece to study and met Costas in Santorini and now only visits Australia on holiday. They have a beautiful house on the shore with their windows overlooking the bay.  We were truly welcomed into their home by their family.  A wonderful evening and we were driven back to the marina for a very well deserved sleep.

The next day was spent tidying away everything that could disappear easily while we are away.

Thursday we were up early for the flight home to see our family.
