Saturday 4^th October, 2014.

We decided to leave Poros as the weather forecast for the next few days was not brilliant and we didn’t want to be held up as we did not want to miss our lift date.

We sailed out of the Poros channel and straight away the wind was blowing very strongly across the bay.  As we turned towards Idhra the wind was behind us and we had a great sail although the strength of the wind had dropped but we were sailing along very nicely doing 8 and 9 knots.  The black clouds were all around us and the day never really brightened up.   We anchored in the bay of Ermioni on our own.   We had covered 19.93 miles.

During the evening the lights on the church overlooking the bay went on and lots of people gathered outside the church for a wedding. Once it was over the cars travelled back down the hill and the fireworks started and gave us a great show.
