At long last my liver can be rested and the bank manager can relax for a few weeks until we reach the delights of St Lucia. So far most reliable crew member is Warren the wind vane (competition no 1 - why is he called Warren? Answers tomorrow) he is reliable, I know where he is, does as he is told and I dont have to buy him loads of drinks! Provisioning the boat has gone well and we will definitly get our five a day - that is five portions of meat and an apple - getting proportions right from an order form is sooo hard!
Thank you all for your messages of support but now please just send money. We amazingly managed to cross the start line vaguely on time (unlike when i sail with the previous blogger!!) and despite light winds we are making good progress with big assymetric up. However its amazing how quickly the fleet scatters but we continue our steady progress to the back of the fleet! Our time in Las Palmas has been great the Arc team have thrown some good parties to rival any night in The Anchor at Cowes also ending up being carried home by my new best friends (cheers Merv).

Now the technical bit: we are at 27:55.3N 015:11,98W apart from making it look as though we know what we are doing this also updates the little map thingy.

Just a short one today no doubt back tomorrow.
