Tied up at 10.15 to a warm welcome from our Spanish friends on the quay who looked at the five grey bearded old men and welcomed us to the local Santa Claus lookalike convention. The Spanish equivalent of the Red Arrows were unfortunately unable to fly past as arranged due to the low cloud but we did spot a formation of seagulls doing much the same.

After appropriate and much needed ablutions, and with the onset of scurvy imminent, the new look crew headed straight to the local hostelry for much needed produce made of hops and barley.

The passage was much less eventful than we had feared with flat calm around Finnisterre and a motor most of the remaining miles. The excitment available was caused by the thick fog overnight and half the Spanish fishing fleet choosing to fish near us in zero visibility. In truth, this is the closest we have come to fresh fish all trip with our on board expert angler heard to ask "do they have mackerel down here?" after sitting on the back of the boat for two hours trailing mackerel feathers.

Short one today - other events take priority.
