Landfall made. Drunken debauchery had. Suitable apologies made next
morning.
Personally I believe this to be Itchycoo Parks finest moment. Sailed 918.9
miles to complete a course of 861 miles and after 7 days at sea arrived in
time for last orders at the bar of the yacht club - planning to
perfection. Having drifted over the line running on fumes itchycoo park
was berthed crew spruced and beered and at the bar 2 minutes later
followed by a visit to a highly dubiuos nightclub run by our taxi drivers
cousin! When I say taxi its actually an old pick up truck which made it
remarkably easy to pour the crew into - nothing technical like doors or
seat belts to worry about. At 5.30 am final melt dwon occured and the
final navigation to bed proving too much for three of the crew who all
ended up in the sam bunk - a fine naval tradition I believe. Following
morning was spent cancelling credit cards from stolen wallets and trying
to trace lost phones followed by an afternoon of reinstating credit cards
when stolen wallet was found in bar it had been left in and phone was
found in pocket it had been left in. Last night was leg one prize giving
and sad to say we did not feature however Itchycoo park reputation has
spread and we now have a full waiting list for crew who want to jump ship
to the guys who "cant sail but like a party" not really sure how we should
take that! We are currently organising our half way across party and all
down to the local market to purchase our fancy dress costumes this morning.
With regard to our fishing exploits we are getting closer however the fish
here seem to be remarkably clever. One lure has teeth marks half way along
it centrally between two sets of hooks, another lure (a rubber squid) has
had his tentacales chewed off! We did get what looked like a small tuna to
the surface but it got away...............actually it wasnt small it was
massive!!!!!!!

Now we have eaten all the vegetables The Vegetable Turner has time on his
hands and therefore has been making videos of our exploits to date which
can be found here: https://youtu.be/UFGdCmwFKdw

We set off again tomorrow so our next blog will be full of stories about
herosism and dyanamism on the high seas
