Out of Roadtown after final provisioning and much merriment due to the bizarre inflated Christmas decorations that line the main street - somewhat incongruous in 30 degrees. First destination is White Bay on Jost, a beautiful though slightly rolly anchorage, fringed on the landside by a stunning white beach, and protected to seaward by rich coral reef. The weather's perfect for a sail, 15 knots on the beam, and Irie romps across with a white bone in her teeth. Spend three days here, chilling, swimming, walking, reading with an ocasional tincture to relax and stimulate. Ivan's Bar is still Stress Free, and serve and pay yourself, but it seems to work. After a day or so we move up to Great Harbour, the major centre of the island (total pop 200 souls) It's charming - sand and dirt roads with little traffic, but a great bakery and a hairdresser if needed and Foxy's bar providing music and refreshment.
