We’ve left Gosport!  The sun was shining, my sister Dolores and her husband Jean Michel kindly came to see us off.   We might have been a couple of hours behind our intended time, but when you are enjoying a good lunch and a glass of wine, why hurry?  We finally cast off our lines and headed for the Solent.  With the wind on the nose it was a 5 hour motorsail to our destination.  Quite good fun going through the Needles at nearly 10 knots (thanks to the tide), and we found an empty mooring here at Swanage where we shall stay the night.  Off at first light, but fish and chips for now.
