Distance Run 60 Miles
The wind was wild at times over the last few days
in Kalymnos Harbour but all was well. The wind direction was such that we
decided to travel due west towards the island of Levitha rather than south west
to Astipalia. The wind was light so it was on with the iron sail (the
engine) again. We reached Levitha by 2pm so decided to make up for lost
time and carry on to the island of Amorgos arriving about 7.30pm.
We did not go ashore but here are a couple of
photographs taken a year or so ago when we were last here. They show the
Monastery which is built against the sheer cliff face of the island's south
coast:-
