I cleared out of St Lucia at the customs office in Marigot Bay and confirmed that we would be OK to visit Soufriere before finally leaving St Lucia.  We left under full sail and headed south towards Soufriere.  As we turned into the bay we put the sails away and 'The Pitons' were in full view ahead:-

And as we turned more to port the town of Soufriere appeared in the distance.  Lots of those clouds appeared over the hill tops for the next few days carrying and then dumping a LOT of rain:-

Don't just sit there, get on and tidy up some of that string you've left lying around:-

We tried to pick up a mooring in the north of the bay near the 'Hummingbird' resort and restaurant because they were the most sheltered but they were all taken so we headed south towards Petit Piton and picked one up off the 'Harmony Restaurant'.  The side of Petit Piton rises almost vertically from the sea:-

No other boats joined us in that remote corner of the bay and as evening approached I felt it would be safer to moor nearer some other yachts.  Unfortunately we still couldn't get any of the 'Hummingbird' moorings and settled for the far less enticing view of Soufriere.  That rainbow suggests rain which reached us a few moments after the photograph was taken:-

We did get a more distant but good view of Petit Piton in the evening sun:-
