The winds continue to be in the mid teens to 20 knots with a pleasant sea.  Another quiet day where we are pacing ourselves slowly to aim for Mindelo arrival tomorrow morning.

Just after yesterday's update Lin called me up to the cockpit to see dolphins.  There were dozens of them and were the first life we have seen since leaving the Canaries.  They were quite small with light grey spots and stayed with us for about 20 minutes.

Out with the camera and we now have a lot of photographs of splashes where dolphins used to be.

Second sign of life this morning - a seagull!  There are now also signs of human life as we near land.  One a fishing pot marker which we nearly ran over but for Lin seeing it just in time.  The second sign was a floating wooden pallet.  We don't want to hit either of those things - day or night.  We will bring in the trailing generator this evening to avoid snagging that as well.

You might just be able to see a dolphin to the right.  You can't see the subjects of the photograph - 6 just under the surface in the centre:-

There are a lot there - really :-
