We have had a day of light winds (around 10 knots) and slow progress.  We are sailing south to catch the trade winds and hope to turn right at the Cape Verde  Islands.

We tried out the shower and are all clean and beautiful again:

Al did some clothes washing:

J tried to catch a fish but whatever bit at the lure went off with the hook:

At about 5 the wind increased to 15 – 20 knots and we started sailing properly.  Unfortunately it also brought the rain but we don’t mind.  Al has had plenty of practice changing spinnakers and he loves the snuffer.
We are about to taste our first freeze dried reconstituted meal of Pasta with Cheese and we hope there is some Ham in it.  We had to eat the Fray Bentos Chicken & Ham and Steak & Ale pies yesterday as the tins were too heavy!  They were delicious.
At 18.45 we were at 25 deg. 41.26 N, 17 deg. 36.1 W.
