Constant heavy rain for 2 days has finally eased.  We haver never experienced such rain – far more powerful than the strongest power-shower.  The drops were so large that they created mini splashes on the surface of the sea which looked as if it had been lightly covered with icing sugar.  The wind is from the west and is 20-30 knots.  WE are close hauled and tacking but still going at 13 knots and have peaked at 19.7.

This was at 12.30.  The wind at 4pm is the same but the rain has stopped.

We had a visitor last night – a small bird landed in the cockpit and stayed for about an hour.  We hope it survived.
