Good afternoon Friends, fans and Family.

Welcome to the Azores.  IDEA landed and made fast to the dock on the outer harbor wall last night at 8:45pm Barbados time.  After a very quick tidy up the crew sat in the cockpit with some Mt. Gay Rum and Coke, some snacks and good music.

After a very short (due to time differences:  It was actually 1:45am local time), but very good sleep IDEA's crew rose and moved the boat into the marina proper.  Cleaned up the inside of the boat, cleaned up ourselves, and started and finished up some jobs we couldn't do while at sea.

Everyone took a little time separately to explore our immediate surroundings:  A very quaint old style Portugese seaside village.  There is so much more to explore and someday we vow to return with enough time to see the rest of the island.  This year though our time is short and we will be back at sea by probably lunch time (local, very early B'dos time) tomorrow.

Onward to Gibraltar.  Approximately 4 days more of sailing.  The weather forcaste is calling for a slow start with relatively light breezes which will fill in to about 20knots by late in the day of our second day out.  It should be a pretty decent sail if a little wet and salty again.

We're still trying to experiment with getting pictures up here on the blog, and further experimentation may have to wait till Gibraltar, but some how some way we will figure this out.  In the meantime you'll just have to take our word for it when we tell you how beautiful and cool this place is.
