This morning was spent hove to, waiting for the wind to veer to a more northerly direction. With the 20kts plus of wind and big seas running it is difficult to make progress towards Antigua dead into the wind. By this afternoon the wind was showing from the North West but as soon as we started sailing it came back to WNW and has been there ever since! This means that our course is slightly west of south, not good for Antigua but will be good if the wind does come round to the north and then the east as forecast.
This evening we are hove to again for supper but will shortly head off to the south again. The barometer is still dropping so we hope this is still the effect of the depression that is now passing through.
