A little farther south. We are being very selective with the weather windows for each leg. At this rate we will be the only yacht to have motored around the world! We tried out the new folding bicycles in L’Arber Wrac’h with a view to finding a supermarket in a local town via the coastal path. Needless to say we didn’t find the town, never mind the supermarket, but the Brittany coast and countryside was adequate compensation.
We left L’Arber Wrac’h at 0545 with the dawn just breaking to set up the most beautiful sunrise. You need to follow the tide down this part of the coast and we thought we would make some progress south before avoiding the strong south westerly wind forecast for Biscay today. So here we are in Audierne and I take back all I said about the weather - its wet and chilly! No wifi in the marina so we will head for a coffee in town to post this and then take a walk and sort out a few things before heading out across Biscay tomorrow morning, due to arrive Thursday.
I will try and attach some photos to remind you of our official send off, the sunrise yesterday morning and Audierne. However, Annie’s site is much better for those with access to it.
