Early start with the best intentions but good to be flexible. We left East Boyd anchorage at Eden an hour after the navy destroyer left the 250 millon dollar berth they use to load missiles, guess it’s good to see it being used. So at 6.30am we started, about two hours in we started to feel some big swells, must be left over from Sandra. I rang Bermagui and asked about the bar to be told white water at times breaking over entrance. Not one to go backwards, we continued on to arrive at the mouth, planned sit outside and watch the swells. Lasted about 3 mins when a beauty came thru, at least 4m , so that was it, continue on (only a little advice from Caro, could have used a smaller hammer tho).

Pity as we both wanted to spend more time at Bermagui.

So now we have ducked behind Broulee Is, south of Batemans Bay, and we get a little swell and waiting for the wind. Supposed to get to 30-35 from S-SW tomorrow which should be ok here as long as the swell doesn’t do something strange. Think we will be here at least until Tuesday.

Dear Kay, time to start packing we is a’comin home….
