Started day with a walk along Home Beach at Three Hummock Island , Louie was a great fan, then returned to the boat for gummy shark breakfast. Unfortunately Ian’s boat wouldn’t start, so the ever reliable Leyland was brought alongside to give power. But the Gardner required more help, a large hammer to the starter motor did the trick. We thought it wise to come to Stanley to sort out. A bit of a choppy trip in a 15 knot NEly. We arrived this afternoon into the fishing port and had a quick walk around the town. Great old cottages, all well looked after and generally a very pretty place. Caro & Cathy found a gallery making things from old nylon rope like we’ve collected from the beaches over the past few weeks, so they’re very excited. Also met a friend of Cathy & Ian’s who makes superb timber furniture, Mark Bishop, worth a google search if you need any. Tomorrow being tourists in town and helping Ian find Gardner spares.
