As I write this the sun has just set and the moon is just peeking out at the top of Mount Misery. Might explain some odd behavior from the type A’s.

Day started with Cathy suffering from catholic guilt and deciding she would do real work all day, Caro and I headed off to climb Mount Milner, a not too hard stroll with great views out to the west. Again the weather has been very special with sunshine and light winds, expecting a change tonight (20kt Nly) then good again by Monday.

In the afternoon Caro road tested her new Salamanca Place purchase - the hammock - and Cathy continued to work. I headed off in kayak hoping to cross the Bathurst Channel and look at the waterfall on the other side. Started well, then spotted some rubbish on a secluded beach, well 3 hours later I called for help and the girls sped over in the tinnie and assisted. We still couldn’t finish the beach. I think we now have 11 bags of plastic, numerous bits of net, lots of rope, all a bit sad really.

Then things took a leap into madness, the type A’s had a brilliant idea of taking all the rubbish to the beach to photograph the mess on this beautiful beach. Loaded the dingy , spread it all out on sheets, took photos, loaded it all up again and back to the boat. Yep same thoughts as mine. (Editor’s comment: he’s the one with the bright idea of publicizing all the rubbish here – Cathy & I just art directing!)

All good and hopefully we can raise some awareness of this mess.
