Same bay , different name. We had a day of exploring with Debbie & Haydn and found a few huts that have volunteer caretakers. They come for two weeks and work on the huts (or chase people with dogs?). They also had displays on the history of the island. We then had a look at the old coal mine that fed the cement works on Maria island.

We started the day with a hike up Bear Hill, a good 50 min climb with a great view of the whole Freycinet peninsula.

Tonight it’s drizzling and cold, fishing has been canceled and replaced with drinking and yarning, tough call.

Tomorrow off to Triabunna for some washing, food and fluids, don’t want to dehydrate in this place.
