Hecuba now in Lagos and we cannot believe the number of English voices - didn't realise just how popular a holiday destination this is.
Old town full of restaurants and bars but a fascinating history ( original capital city and won back from Spanish in 17th century etc ).
Good trip down here from Cascais via a fast trip to Sines ( home of Vasco da Gama ) and a near miss during some manoeuvring antics in the marina in gusty conditions.
Lagos marina very well set up but expensive at this time of year.
All good on board and Anne and I enjoying some meals out and chilling as we start to sort and stock the boat ready for the trip to Madeira ( around 500 nautical miles or approx 3 days and 3 nights sailing time ).
Steve joins in a couple of weeks and we will pick our weather window carefully before heading to Madeira.
