Hi All,
Had a great day yesterday when we had a skippers briefing, complete with
Champagne & Guinness, where we signed a disclaimer for the organiser in
exchange for a flag. It was pouring down but we had a great time on Ewan's
boat (Organiser), and overflowing to the pontoon. In the evening we had a
great meal in the yacht club and had a hilarious comedy routine, when Jake
Kavanaugh , of practical boat owner, re-enacted some of his times as a lock
keeper on the Thames.
Today is all serious and down to last minute preparation ready for the off
tomorrow at 1400.There are about 40 boats going and it should make a great
picture as we set off from Plymouth Breakwater and sunshine bound. ( Yes its
raining again as I write)
I will probably write again in a couple of days when I clear the shipping
lanes and get some ZZZZs under my belt.
