G’day

Shockingly, since out last message we have actually had rather nice weather. We got going again a few hours after we posted yesterday’s blog entry and since then we’ve had a nice steady beam reach with sea state reducing all the time. The pressure has shot up though and is now 1026 mbar. Hopefully this is not a precursor of bad weather to come. The boat has been drying out a little since our little watery incident. Crew doing alright, enjoying not being hove to for a change.

We have seen no ships since day 2. Last night we saw a light appear over the horizon on our stern.  This was on a very similar course to ourselves, but showing her port hand light at all times.  She gradually overhauled us and approached to within 200 metres and loomed over us.  It was too dark to see her name but she had ‘Atlantic Ro Ro Carriers’ written down her side.  We guess that she was probably just taking a look.
